WoodOhio was launched by Eric Unangst in 2011 when he made an Africa wall clock after his second nephew was adopted from Ethiopia. Rediscovering a love for woodworking, he branched out into other silhouettes - states, words and iconography. WoodOhio continues to innovate and offers distinctive signs and simple wood products at local events and online. All products are cut, sanded, painted/stained, sealed and shipped from our basement workshop. Quality craftsmanship and small batches drives everything around here - our quality pieces will last for years.
WoodOhio owner Eric Unangst was featured in the New York Times Business section.
We plant a tree for each wood product sold through our partner, Trees for the Future. They are dedicated to planting trees with rural communities in the developing world, enabling them to restore their environment, grow more food, and build a sustainable future.
Our wood is sourced from renewable, FSC certified tree farms - commercially grown and managed on a completely renewable basis.
